My name is Andrew De Kock and I have 22 years of experience helping people with alcohol and drug addiction problems. 34 years ago I ended up in the deep dark addiction pit, addicted to alcohol. I have now been alcohol free for 26 years, so with my knowledge and experience I can assist you to get out of the deep dark addiction pit and experience real happiness, real joy and real peace.
SERVICE
I mentor adults who have alcohol or drug addiction problems, through one on one sessions that are done either telephonically or via interactive video calls.
Call me on +27 83 261 4366, between 9am and 6pm on a Monday to Friday (S.A time), to book a session.
Terms, times and fees will be telephonically discussed.
Sessions are available until 8pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and until 5pm on Fridays (S.A time).

EXPERIENCE
For 22 years, I have been running a weekly support group for alcoholics and drug addicts from a local church hall in my community, as can be seen in the photo below. This support group is known throughout the community as Addiction Victorious.
When Covid began, the meetings became virtual online meetings. People from around South Africa and even the United Kingdom began attending the online Addiction Victorious meetings. At this point in time, the meetings are run back at the church hall.
During the week I get calls from people who require help with their addiction problems.
MEETINGS AT THE CHURCH HALL
Over the past 22 years I have had an average of 87 different people attending the church hall meetings per year. The mascot for these meetings is a FROG and there will always be a frog sitting next to me on a small red chair, as a reminder for people to F.R.O.G (Fully Rely On God), to help them get over their addiction problem.
Once a year, I do a talk titled “Are you a F.R.O.G or are you a T.A.D.P.O.L.E?”. In other words, are you Fully Relying On God (F.R.O.G) to help you, or are you a Totally Addicted Defeated Person On your way to Losing Everything (T.A.D.P.O.L.E). This talk is accompanied by my family of frogs, as can been seen in the photo below. Over the years people have been gifting me frogs and to date I have a total of 176 frogs, which have come from all over the world.
Twice a year I have a Certificate of Merit evening, where personalised certificates are presented to people who have been off alcohol or drugs for different lengths of time. The major milestones are 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years and so forth. Nights like these are worthy of celebration, hence a cake gets made with candles to celebrate these special achievements.
MY TRAINING
I started attending Alcoholics Victorious meetings 34 years ago. A few years after I had stopped drinking I was selected to be part of the management committee of Alcoholics Victorious (Cape Peninsula), as seen in the photo below.The late Chairman of Alcoholics Victorious (Cape Peninsula), Tom Greer, had 40 years of experience helping addicts. He taught, coached and mentored me for many years until the day he sadly passed away.
MY BACKGROUND
I was brought up in a very strong Christian home. In actual fact the Methodist Church in my old home town of Thornton (Cape Town) was started in our home in 1953. If you drive past the Methodist Church in Thornton today you will see a hall and a church. The hall that was the original church is named after my late father “Noel De Kock” and the new church door was unlocked by my mother in 1982. At the age of thirteen I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. There was never alcohol in our home, but by the age of thirty I ended up in the deep dark addiction pit, addicted to alcohol and going around in circles, not knowing how to stop drinking and live a normal life. Thirty four years ago I appeared at Alcoholics Victorious. The person who spoke to me helped me come to my senses and helped me to change the direction of my life. I stopped drinking and recommitted my life to Jesus. I thank God for that person at Alcoholics Victorious, who helped me see the light. God does deliver us from our addiction, if we turn to him.
For the past 22 years my life has been revolved around my passion of helping alcohol and drug addicts.
